A lone cricket appeared in my room, so i decided to record it before letting it out. Small chirping for about a minute. There is a light amount of background noise, since i decided not to do noise reduction myself and just leave it raw, since i didn't want to distort the cricket sound.

An up-close recording of a single cricket chirping. I recorded this with a shure beta 57a microphone, at my house, with the mic a few inches away from one of my housemate's crickets (don't ask). I used cubase and izotope denoise to remove noise artifacts, as well as a low-cut to remove unwanted low freqs. This is a cricket that was chirping outside of my apartment. There a few loud chirps at the beginning, followed by several softer chirps. I was able to get my recorder pretty close the cricket, so the sounds came out pretty good. I recorded this with a tascam dr-07 portable recorder.

Crikey the cricket was chirping in a leafy bush in portland, oregon, around 11 p. M. In early september. The original recording had some ambient noise, but it has been cleaned up for use in. . . Two dogs are barking in my front yard, with the longest-barking one being a 3-years-old fox terrier chihuahua mix with whom i have an attachment to but who isn't my dog. You can also hear crickets chirping in the background. I recorded this sound at the nagarhole tiger reserve in karnataka, india. The sound is recorded on my iphone 12 pro using the dolby on app. There are unfortunately some minor unwanted sounds in the recording caused by things like someone moving in their seat. But it’s a nice ambient recording to use if you are able to edit around it. The recording was done at 7:30am.

Tokyo outdoor night ambience. This is a recording of the shinagawa area of tokyo after 1:00 am. Crickets can be heard chirping in the distance, as can cars on a usually busy road. The trainstation is closed, but there is still some activity that can be heard as well as wind and other night ambient sounds. Recording was made on the 6th floor of a highrise apartment behind shinagawa station. 2 mics placed at a 120 degree angle were used. No filtering was used. The only editing done was removal of the beginning and end of this clip.
